Why pick my set of chosen brushes? I have curated a set of 9 on-the-go brushes that are perfect for not only face painting but also other art projects.
They are made by Rosemary & Co, based in Yorkshire, and handmade using traditional methods — which means they are made to last.
What the Set Comprises
3/4 Short Angled Brush
A versatile workhorse brush, perfect for bold one-stroke designs and covering larger areas quickly.
Tinter/Squirrel Brush
A beautiful brush made for blending — so, so soft. It's an investment brush, but definitely made to last. They hold a surprising amount of paint considering the short bristles.
5/8 Short Angled Brush
A more capable size for those smaller faces and designs.
1/2 Long Angled Brush
The crisp longer angle of this brush, coupled with its size, makes it perfect for those lovely quick designs that include side faces. Also great for roses and flowers.
Long Filbert Brush — Size 1
Has a beautiful shape and holds well. Great for swirls, curls, and teardrops. A little more precise than the Pointed Round No. 2, giving both brushes their own purpose.
Size 2 Pointed Round
Another great brush that holds its shape. Makes lovely swirls, curls, and teardrops. Also great for dots.
1/0 Pointed Round
A small detail brush that gives precision and control — especially for unicorn detailing. Note: this brush will tire over time, as we do put them through so much!
Rigger/Liner Brush 1
A shorter liner that gives you a different way to detail and allows lovely whimsical flow work. This brush will need replacing over time.
Rigger/Liner Brush 0
The longer of the two liner brushes, with lovely slim bristles. This gives you the ability to totally free-flow your detail work and create light swirls and wonderful dots. Will need replacing over time.
A Note on Transparency
I believe in transparency — so I will always let you know which brushes will need replacing over time. But it will usually be over the long term, if you use and care for them correctly.
